Support, Build, Engage

Since Marsy's Law for Iowa was created, we have honored National Crime Victims' Rights Week.

Every April, across the country, supporters rally around victims' rights - calling attention to the everyday struggles victims face, honoring the victim service providers that are empowering victims and setting our sights on how we can make the system more fair for victims.

This year will be no different - and we're working on our plan right now to make this week even more memorable than before. But we need your help.

Would you like to help us call attention to victims during this important week? We're looking for supporters who would like to sign their name to a letter to the editor, assist us with lighting up structures purple across the state, and engage with legislators during this prominent week. Of course, we're always looking for victims who are interested in sharing their story as well.

We will be rolling out more of our plan soon, including a way you can call attention to National Crime Victims' Rights Week and help one of our partner organizations who supports victim services in Eastern Iowa.

If you'd like to help us make NCVRW a great success, email me at ebaker@marsyslaw.us and follow along our Facebook page for more updates.

Here's a fun look back from last year's NCVRW and Marsy's Law organizations from across the country.
