Capitol Chat with Rep. Marti Anderson

The 2021 Legislative Session is quickly approaching, and we want to continue highlighting the work we've been doing over the past several months to remind legislators that the current law on the books is not adequate for survivors of crimes.

We will be hosting a pre-session Zoom call on Wednesday, January 6th, at 6PM. We are so excited to welcome State Rep. Marti Anderson with us for this special call. Rep. Anderson has a long history of working for Iowa crime victims through a career as a social worker, her work at Polk County Victim Services, the Polk County Family Violence Center, and Prevent Child Abuse Iowa. She also served as the founding director of the Iowa Attorney General’s Crime Victim Assistance Division.

Rep. Anderson is eager to join us for this call and speak with you directly. She will be sharing information on what the legislative session will look like, discussing ways you can move this legislation forward and taking any questions you may have.

We really hope you can hop on this Zoom call and participate in this great opportunity! Please RSVP on our Facebook event. Contact Sydney at sfox@marsyslaw.us or (712) 541-2718 to receive the call-in information.
